How KIAF applies these principles

The Foundation carries the same principles into its own work through a simple approach:

  • Understand: listen to communities and identify the problem
  • Design: develop a practical response
  • Invest: put resources behind people and ideas with potential
  • Deliver: work with capable partners to implement
  • Measure: track outcomes, not just activities
  • Learn: use evidence to improve future programmes

People first. Capability matters. Opportunity changes outcomes.
